DANIEL E. DURCHSLAG is a CDQ partner. Daniel first joined CDQ in 1998 and has practiced law in Arizona for over 25 years. During his time at the firm, Daniel has successfully guided CDQ clients through virtually every type of business dispute, including real estate litigation, business torts, intellectual property and employment matters, and fiduciary breaches. In addition, from 1999 until 2003, Daniel served as in-house counsel for an international nutritional company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, including devoting more than two years as the company’s General Counsel. Daniel prides himself on bringing a business-minded perspective to the world of high-stakes civil litigation.
Daniel also devotes time to the profession and community, including serving as a judge and grader for the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition for nearly a decade, teaching at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s Arizona Deposition Skills Program, serving in multiple volunteer roles for Vanderbilt Alumni groups, and coaching youth sports. Daniel is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, The Trial Lawyer Honorary Society, and a member of the Trial Law Institute and Diversity Law Institute.

Dan works with the Vanderbilt University Alumni Corps Program in a variety of volunteer activities. Dan has been selected as the Volunteer of the Month for the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Program. Dan assists with the JIOP program by vetting and interviewing candidates for internships. He served as a Regional Brief Judge for the National Appellate Advocacy Competition, and assisted with the newsletter for the ABA Pretrial Practice and Discovery Subcommittee. Dan also coaches youth basketball.
